Bridge and the Gatekeeper's Museum. Spectacular views await you
as you drive around Lake Tahoe, 22 miles in length, 12 miles in
width and containing enough water to cover the entire state of
California to 14 inches deep.
A
fifteen minute drive takes you to the BILTMORE, CAL NEVA and CRYSTAL
BAY Casinos on the North Shore and it's only a 40 minute drive
to the colorful high-energy nightlife of Reno, Nevada. Take your
time as you drive around the lake and visit historical spots such
as the DONNER LAKE MUSEUM and historic VIRGINIA CITY where highlights
include the Fourth Ward School, Piper's Opera House and the newspaper
for which Mark Twain toiled as Samuel Clemens. You can also take
the V&T Railroad Tour, a 35-minute round-trip tour taking
you from Virginia City to Gold Hill and back.
