SUMMER AND FALL RECREATION
The
rear deck of the ABVI overlooks the TAHOE CITY GOLF COURSE
and is only a short walk to the clubhouse or tennis court. There
are also seven more golf courses within a 10 to 20 minute drive
and more than 50 other courses within a 90 minute drive.
Numerous
activities, most within walking distance, are available and many
give a discount to ABVI guests who show their VIG cards:
--Kids of all ages will enjoy the pool table and Video Arcade
room at The BLUE AGAVE Restaurant next door.
--The eighteen-wheeler TAHOE GAL has cruises from Mid-May thru
October available from the pier at Tahoe City (1-800-218-2464)
--Boat rentals, speedboat rides, Jet Ski rentals or Parasailing
are available at Tahoe City Marina (530-583-1039)
--Rafting on the Truckee River, a relaxing way to unwind.
--Kayaking on the lake is becoming more prominent each year.
--Horseback riding at Squaw Valley Stables, a 10-minute drive
away.
--Fishing on the Lake or Truckee River OR, if you prefer, just watch the large fish at "Fanny Bridge"
-- Get "hooked" on fishing year-round with "Mickey's
Big Mack Charter

--Enjoy the "4th of July Fireworks Display" from the
hotel decks. It is held each year on the beach across from the
hotel.
--For the fitness buffs, loosen your joints at the "Asante
Lakeside Fitness health club behind Safeway (583-4283).
--Magic Carpet Miniature Golf (530-546-4279) only 5 minutes drive.
--A ride in the scenic Squaw Valley Cable Car is a spectacular
ride 2,000 vertical feet to High Camp where tennis and ice skating
is available.
